Every classroom has a culture. How intentional are you about it?

This conversation is a chance to think with other accounting educators: what our behaviour signals, what we encourage, and how students help shape the learning environment.

Students who never speak. Chatter at the back. Activities that work brilliantly with one group fall flat with another. Whether we mean to or not, these are signs of the culture we build with our students.

Classroom culture also changes over time within the same cohort. What do you hope will change between week 1 and week 12?

This conversation is a chance to think with other accounting educators: what our behaviour signals, what we encourage, and how students help shape the learning environment.

It’s a small group, no more than 20 people, so everyone gets to speak. Bring a classroom challenge or question you’ve been turning over. We’ll use each other’s experiences to work out what we want our classrooms to feel like, and you’ll leave with one thing to try in your next session.
